At work, the material enters the feed area of the twin-screw extruder from the extruder bin. The main screw pushes the material from the feed area to the area of the auxiliary screw, and then the material is pushed back by the auxiliary screw. In this process, the additional operation from the auxiliary screw makes the material fully in contact with each position of the machine part, so that the material is more evenly mixed.
